History of 8744

2022

Our team first started as a summer class offered at the Pablo Center in 2021. After a successful class, our team was officially created for the 2022 season. During our rookie season, we competed at the Seven Rivers Regional. We ended rank 13 and competed in the playoffs as the Captain of Alliance 8 and were eliminated in the Quarterfinals. We also won the Gracious Professionalism award.

2023

In 2023, we competed at the Blue Twilight Week Zero Invitational. We also competed at the Lake Superior Regional and ended at rank 24. We also competed at the Seven Rivers Regional and ended at rank 9. We also competed in the playoffs as the Captain of Alliance 6 and were eliminated in round 2 of the double elimination bracket. In the offseason we participated in the Lakeshore Robotics Invitational.

2024

In the 2024 season, we competed at the Blue Twilight Week Zero Invitational. We also competed at the the Wisconsin Regional. Here, we ended at rank 11 and competed in the playoffs as the 1st Pick of Alliance 3 and were eliminated in the Finals. At this competition we won Regional Finalists and the Judges’ Award. We also competed at the Iowa Regional and also ended at rank 11. We competed in the playoffs as the 1st Pick of Alliance 8 and were eliminated in round 3 of the double elimination bracket. At this competition, our student Jacob B won the Dean’s List Finalist award. In the offseason, we participated in the Mukwonago Robotics Offseason Competition (MROC) with our competition robot (Kermit) and an offseason robot (Miss Piggy). Kermit ended rank 13 and competed on the 5th alliance, but was eliminated in round 2 of the double elimination bracket. Miss Piggy ranked 26 and was not picked to compete on an alliance.
